That's who we are

Lisa Counter she/her

My name is Lisa and I use the pronouns she/her!

For a long time, I worked as a nursery school teacher and studied social work/social pedagogy at the HSD on the side. In March 2023, I started working at PULS*.In December 2023, I took over the management of PULS* and am really looking forward to seeing you and many new projects, experiences and conversations.

In my private life, I am very interested in art and spend most of my freetime at concerts or queer events.

You can contact me at any time, whether you want to exchange ideas or just get something off your chest.

Or do you feel like playing a round of table football? Don’t worry, I can take a defeat well 🙂

Franziska Ihle she/her

Hey,

I am Franziska (she/her) and have been part of the PULS* team as a freelancer for many years. Since March 2024, I have been working as a full-time social worker and am mainly responsible for girls’ work and social media. I am very much looking forward to many inputs, projects and evenings with you!

I like to play basketball and PC games, often go to the theater and queer events and like to eat a lot, preferably ramen and pizza (and everything with a lot of sauce).

See you at PULS*, for table football, snacking, chatting…

Stephan he/him

Hello,

I’m Stephan and I’ve been volunteering at PULS* since 2016. I live in Düsseldorf, studied biology in Aachen, where I already volunteered in a queer youth group, and now work in the Düsseldorf area.

You can find me on Tuesdays at PULS*, where I see myself as the contact person for your concerns, especially on the subject of homosexual men. From time to time I am also involved in larger campaigns (e.g. PULS* birthday). In addition to your questions, I’m always up for board games, bad jokes and discussions on current topics and go along with almost any nonsense. I look forward to seeing you soon in the PULS*!

Joshua Timmers he/him

Hey, my name is Joshua (he/him).

I’m studying social work and have been part of the PULS* team as a freelancer since February 2025, after having volunteered here for a few months.

I enjoy sports, walks in nature, and solving Sudoku puzzles. I spend a lot of time with my family and friends and occasionally explore new places in the world. I felt particularly at home in Madeira, Tenerife, and Portugal.

I enjoy talking openly about sensitive topics. Feel free to contact me, especially with questions/suggestions about your own identity and trans* issues. Of course, I’m also happy to listen to your everyday concerns. Go for it!

I look forward to seeing you at Puls*.

Mel Müller he/him

Hello everyone!

My name is Mel, I’m 28 years old, and I use he pronouns.

Starting in March, I’ll be working 10 hours a day at PULS* alongside my job at SCHLAU Düsseldorf, primarily working with trans* youth. Heskia will also be joining the PULS* team. She’s 5 years old and doesn’t really care about pronouns 😉

Heskia will only be there if everyone feels comfortable with it, and if she changes her mind, she can always go back to the office; she’d just sleep there, so feel free to ask me about it! Otherwise, she enjoys being cuddled and sometimes plays with a ball. Heskia and I compete in dog agility tournaments in our free time, and I also enjoy doing crafts like crocheting, macramé, and dog collars.

I’m looking forward to many pleasant conversations, playing table football, and other activities with you!
